A Vision for Dunwoody's Future
Robert Miller understands the complexities of development, finance, and planning. Dunwoody needs the right leadership as we enter the next chapter in Dunwoody’s story. We need to continue delivering quality basic services, like paving, police, and enhanced parks in a fiscally responsible way. It’s also time to focus on some of the areas that remain challenges for our city.
No community can be successful without good schools. Our schools are experiencing a facilities crisis. While the city does not control the school district, there are some levers the city has to drive facility improvements for our children and the community. No governmental entity can act without interaction with other governments. There are checks and balances to their relationships. The city must take a more robust and assertive posture with the school district regarding the condition of their facilities. The city must beef up its supplemental codes that regulate the building and maintenance of school district property. We don’t have to reinvent the wheel – other jurisdictions do this, and we can learn from their experiences. Robert Miller has already been a leader in this area. His advocacy on this topic goes back to 2009 and continues to the present. It’s time to put Robert Miller on the city council to work on this issue.
SMALL TOWN, BIG OPPORTUNITIES, THOUGHTFUL PLANNING
Dunwoody has a small town feel with big city advantages. As a member of the Dunwoody Development Authority and a small business owner, Robert Miller, has helped attract, and keep, big and small businesses in the city. He has a unique understanding of how big business can work for Dunwoody at the Perimeter area and how we can improve the climate for small businesses throughout the city. Robert knows that, just like good schools, a healthy business community, is a necessary ingredient in keeping our neighborhoods vibrant. Robert Miller will work diligently to support and improve the environments for our businesses and our neighborhoods through effective and thoughtful planning.
THE NEXT CHAPTER - MANAGING CHANGE
The only constant is change. We need a leader that has the acumen, the grit, the experience, and the right ideas to manage Dunwoody’s transition into the next chapter.
Electing Robert Miller means more city involvement in the quality of our school facilities.
